Terjitt oasis trip.
Right before I left Tidjikja, I walked around my neighborhood and took pictures of the ruins near my house. My house was situated in the oldest area of Tidjikja, the part that has been lived in for several hundred years, and about two-thirds of the buildings in my neighborhood were collapsed houses. Some of the ruins have pretty interesting designs in them - nothing like you can see in modern Mauritanian homes - and had very complex layouts. I also climbed the tallest water tower in town and took a few photos.
