On what I hope was my last road trip in Mauritania, I went up to the Terjitt oasis with some of the people who work for the US embassy and for Woodside, the oil company that's working here. It was typical Mauritania - so much potential, but painfully mediocre because of laziness and apathy. Here are some photos...
On the way back to Nouakchott, I finally managed to get the photo I've been trying to get for three years...A CAMEL IN THE BACK OF A PICKUP TRUCK!!!
